Meet The Staff!

Jim McElwee
Website Owner/Creator

Born in New Jersey, Jim's role in Unexplainable.net involves all design decisions and over-sight of the entire operation.

Chris Capps
Content Writer/Copyrighter

Chris was born in Carbondale, Illinois, but has lived everywhere from St. Louis to Sicily.  He’s an avid reader, who loves the work of HP Lovecraft, Philip K. Dick, HG Wells, and Ray Bradbury.  He has been writing since he was eight years old, and has obsessively studied history, psychology, philosophy, and the paranormal for years.  Chris' philosophy of the paranormal is that of a 'discriminating believer,' but he feels that every story worth hearing deserves to be told.

Mark Soveign
Content Writer/Copyrighter

Originally from New Jersey a place he visits often and writes about frequently, the alternative journalist and author J. Mark Soveign became interested in the study of unexplainable mysteries at a early age.  As a young boy his interest in the field was kindled by his spending time in attics and basements pouring over old copies of Argosy Magazine and reading works of fiction by Conan Doyle and Edgar Allen Poe.  These days he spends his time as a writer and a paranormal investigator delving into cases that involve crimes and incidents with mysterious and unlikely causes the proper authorities won't accept or pursue.

His life-long hero and his reason for getting "into the business" is the jaunty-in-the-face-of-doom paranormal investigator Cark Kolchak, the fictional TV character from the old 1970's TV series "The Night Stalker".  Mark regards Kolchak as the original occult alternative journalist, and very likely the true inspiration for later works within the very genre as "The X-Files" TV show as well as all of the interest in paranormal material of the present day that flow from it.

Mark divides his time equally between his home in Rio Tinto, Portugal (Gondomar) and his other home in Monaco where he spends most of his time investigating and writing about claims of paranormal affairs.
