Even as a child growing up in Roslyn, 75-year-old Kanashibushan, dubbed “K” by family and friends, sensed things other people didn’t. “When I looked back I recognized that when I was very young it was very strong,” she says of her psychic ability. “It slowed down around 13. But until then I could see the spirits of people passed on. And my nephews remind me that’s why they didn’t want to be around. “I was very clairvoyant.” Then, she says, her gift “closed down. It didn’t start back until I was 30.” So what’s ahead for 2009?
