Area 51 Contact Speaks Out
My first interest in Area 51 began in 1987 when I received from a Los Angeles-based writer named Bill Moore a copy of a satellite photo of Groom Lake taken by the Russians. He sent me a ten-page research paper on the secretive military base. I was quite fascinated by it. Subsequently I met Bill Moore at one of his lectures in L.A.

RINGMAKERS OF SATURN - WHAT IS THE TRUTH?
Back in March of 2001 material relating to NASA image P-23876C, came into my possession. It wasn't until recently that I was able to obtain the news release accompanying the image. The material related to images that were the foundation images used for a news release, dated Aug. 13, 1981, and image created by NASA/JPL, intended as a comparison of the Voyager I and II images, and to highlight changes apparent in Saturn's colour patterns.

The Illinois UFO Alien Sightings of January, 2000, 1
Anyone who has been in Illinois in January knows that when the sun goes down, it gets cold... real cold. The night of January 5, 2000, was no exception. Everyone who could was staying warm inside, but all did not have this luxury. Melvin Knoll's livelihood was his miniature golf course,
and worried that something may have frozen there, he braved the cold night to make sure everything was OK.

Dupo officer: I'm not sure what you're seeing. It appears to be pretty high in the area. When I could first see it with binoculars, you could see it was different colors. Now it appears to be white.

How We Look from Mars
These NASA Pictures were taken By NASA's Mars Global Surveyor, which has been orbiting Mars since 1997. If One were to study Earth from Mar's perspective, this is the image they would see. You can obviously tell there is flowing water, and dry places. You can tell we have a moon, and you can guess the rest.

Conspiracy Theory: did We Land on the Moon?
America most certainly did go to the Moon. It makes me wanna scream every time someone says we didn`t. There is plenty of evidence to back up the fact we went to the Moon, and if you look at the evidence that says we didn`t it doesn`t hold up.

A Working Junction Transistor
There was no doubt about it, point-contact transistors were fidgety. The transistors being made by Bell just didn't work the same way twice, and on top of that, they were noisy. While one lab at Bell was trying to improve those first type-A transistors, William Shockley was working on a whole different design that would eventually get rid of these problems.

Semiconductors and Germanium
Semiconductors had been discovered in the early 1930s, but not much was known about them. While scientists weren't sure how they worked, they were certain that semiconductors were useful. Semiconductor crystals were used in radio and radar receivers because they could take in the high-frequency alternating signal of the radio wave and extract the low frequencies necessary for the headphones. Crystals which did this were known as rectifiers.

Quantum Mechanic Basics
In day to day life, we intuitively understand how the world works. Drop a glass and it will smash to the floor. Push a wagon and it will roll along. Walk to a wall and you can't walk through it. There are very basic laws of physics going on all around us that we instinctively grasp: gravity makes things fall to the ground, pushing something makes it move, two things can't occupy the same place at the same time.

The Silicon P-N Junction
In 1939, vacuum tubes were state of the art in radio equipment. People had previously used crystals for radios, but the crystals were so maddeningly inconsistent and mysterious it was a wonder they worked at all. Vacuum tubes were simple, and they worked. Most scientists agreed tubes were the future for radio and telephones everywhere.

Point Contact Transistor
The first transistor was about half an inch high. That's mammoth by today's standards, when 7 million transistors can fit on a single computer chip. It was nevertheless an amazing piece of technology. It was built by Walter Brattain. Before Brattain started, John Bardeen told him that they would need two metal contacts within .002 inches of each other -- about the thickness of a sheet of paper. But the finest wires then were almost three times that width and couldn't provide the kind of precision they needed.

Modern Transistors
In 1945, Shockley had an idea for making a solid state device out of semiconductors. He reasoned that a strong electrical field could cause the flow of electricity within a nearby semiconductor. He tried to build one, then had Walter Brattain try to build it, but it didn't work.

The First Silicon Transistor
It was late afternoon at a conference for the Institute of Radio Engineers. Many people giving talks had complained about the current germanium transistors -- they had a bad habit of not working at high temperatures. Silicon, since it's right above germanium on the periodic table and has similar properties, might make a better gadget. But, they said, no one should expect a silicon transistor for years.
