Scotts Valley residents Christian Sacoolas and Jennifer Nelson have been named the "Next Great Ghost-Hunting Duo," by the SyFy Channel, after winning the "Pair-anormal Contest," a national competition. It was announced on the network's most popular show, "Ghost Hunters." Sacoolas and Nelson beat out hundreds of other applicants on a live episode broadcast Halloween night. They were selected by The Atlantic Paranormal Society and SyFy "Ghost Hunter" co-stars Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, and were judged on the basis of their passion for paranormal research, team chemistry and an understanding of investigation techniques.
