Paranormal investigator Don Wagner of Finleyville with Marci McGuinness of Ohiopyle have written "Hauntings of Pittsburgh and the Laurel Highlands," outlining 28 investigations of supernatural activities. Wagner founded the Peace of Mind Paranormal Society after trying to disprove the existence of paranormal activity. "I wanted to prove to my kids it was all my imagination." He and his son, Matthew, walked down 13 Bends Road in Fox Chapel and heard screaming and, although they did not hear it at the time, their tape recorder captured the voice of a little girl saying, "Don't kill me," Wagner said. "There was a girl killed in 1978 on her way to school. It sent me in a whole new direction. It's been 10 years now. It wasn't my son, it wasn't me, saying anything. We were the only ones there at the time."
