Allow me to introduce myself. This is Jim McElwee and I run http://www.unexplainable.net (Entitled "Watching The World Change"). I do not consider myself an expert at religion in any way, but I do possess genuine beliefs, and I do believe I can make a solid argument in regards to Eastern and Western religions when dealing with "Life After Death:.
The long asked question, Is there life after death, has yet to be answered to living entities. Only after one passes will the secrets of eternal life be revealed. Religions all around the world claim to have these answers, but these answers differ with every religion. Each religion claims to be the "Correct Religion", and most of these religions cast shame onto individuals who do not follow that particular religions teachings. A prime example of this is the Christian Bible.
I will now evaluate Christian beliefs to Buddhist beliefs.
According to the Christian Bible, the only way to become immortal is to accept Jesus Christ as the Savior who died to forgive our sins. Those who do not believe will not rejoice in eternal life. The bible also states that those who do not repent their sins and beg for forgiveness will serve a sentence of eternity in Hell.
If this Christian belief is indeed correct, it is not absurd to draw the conclusion that God Is a Soul Making Factory. According to this belief, if a person does not follow the strict rules set forth, that soul is doomed to suffer an infinite sentence in Hell. Therefore, souls who are entering this reality are not considered "recycled energy". If these souls aren't recycled energy, where are these New souls coming from? Is this all-loving entity we consider "GOD" creating souls, sending them to a torturous Hell for all eternity, than creating more souls to run through the same ringer? If so, he doesn't sound like an All Loving Merciful God to me.
If in-fact souls are to only live on the Earth once, than be sentenced to eternity elsewhere, what would be the point of preserving mother Earth? What would be the point of making this world a better place? What would be the point of relieving suffering? None of this would matter, for in a mere 80 years (give or take) you will be gone, never to return again.
Lets now turn the topic to the Buddhist Belief.
According to the Buddhist belief, souls return to the Earth through reincarnation. The human life is like a triangle. During the first trimester, a human comes to Earth, and grows until maturity is reached. Once maturity is reached, the individual decays and essentially dies. During the third trimester, the soul travels through the afterlife until it reaches the birth point again. The cycle continues indefinitely.
This theory coincides with mathematical and scientific facts that energy (matter) can not be created nor destroyed, only changed. We see support for this theory in almost every aspect of life. Life follows a circular pattern, as does all aspects of reality. The Earth rotates at a constant rate, the Earth revolves around the sun at a constant rate, Plants perish, become nutrients, than give life to new plants, water evaporates than precipitates, Everything Natural that leaves the Earth will eventually return to the Earth. This is called "The Circle Of Life". It is only logical to assume that Human Life follows the same pattern as the rest of reality, for it is in the Human eye that reality becomes reality.
