In 1826, Ohio's first governor built a home on West Fifth Street for one of his four daughters, but it is believed Gov. Edward Tiffin's only son is the one who remains roaming the property. Although Edward P. Tiffin's spirit could have returned to the property after his death at a New York railway on Oct. 5, 1853, he can't be the man guests at the Guest House Bed and Breakfast have reported seeing. The apparition in the upstairs room of the original guest house is believed to be a Civil War officer with a beard, according to owners Kay and Tom Binns.
