On a cold January evening, Janet Howdyshell sat in the dark alone. With a video camera pointed into the darkness, Howdyshell asked questions to a seemingly empty room. “Is someone there?” “Are you a child?” The room remained silent, as it would for several hours. But Howdyshell didn’t mind, because she rarely gets answers — at least not right away. Like her fellow Supernatural Investigators of Virginia members, Howdyshell spent her Saturday night searching for answers at a brick house on South Delphine Drive.
