Katy Perry: Decoding the Meaning Behind 2014 Grammy Award Performances
Information and Theories 1/30/14

Out of all the music-related award ceremonies, the Grammys is probably one of the most anticipated of all awards celebrations throughout the year. Every year, questionable symbolism and nods to the Illuminati seem are also included, and the 56th annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles was no different. Illuminati watchers are constantly on the lookout when it comes to public appearances and musical performances that take place during a highly anticipated or viewed televised event. This year, Katy Perry certainly did not disappoint.
In an attempt to assert her newfound inner-strength, some of Perry's latest musical endeavors seem quite dark. Below are some of the observations made for the Grammy Awards performance of Katy Perry, where she performed a song titled 'Dark Horse':
Some say the lyrics of 'Dark Horse' which at first listen point to a twisted love song, may really refer to drug addiction, but you'd never know it by her performance on stage at the Grammys. If you didn't catch the black magic, dark arts, witchcraft, and Baphomet references throughout her performance, then you probably had your eyes closed.
There is no doubt that the singer intentionally chose to paint this sort of picture.
The start of Perry's performance included a magic crystal ball, surrounded by horned, sinister-looking figures. Some have theorized that the references point to a ritual that involves occult possession.
When the seductively-dressed Perry continues with the performance, she dances about a stripper pole (shaped like a witch's broom stick) wearing an outfit that seems to have a design that resembles the red cross of the Knights Templar. Flames are incorporated into the stage setting in such a manner to suggest that Perry is a witch being burned at the stake. At one point, a dark horse does make an appearance, which greatly resembles a horse of the Apocalypse. It even has glowing red eyes…that give off thoughts of Satan and the Devil. It's not a nice-looking horse by any stretch of the imagination, and clearly appears evil or possessed. People in cult robes also decorated the stage, as did a Baphomet-like character dressed in black. Towards the end, "followers" look as if they are pouring 'ritual' materials around Perry before the flames surround the singer.
After Perry's performance, E! News sent out a Tweet that said: "Um, did we just witness actual witchcraft during Katy Perry's #Grammys performance?" Reports of Christian singer Natalie Grant leaving the Grammys early may have also been tied to the nature of some performances. She was not the only one who noticed the controversial and disturbing subject matter of the event's performances.
One Twitter user exclaimed, "Is it just me or are some of the Grammy performances so far seem to be really demonic?? Looks like there is a lot of evil in the world."
Katy Perry's performance further intensifies her as a conundrum in the music industry. One minute she's embracing butterflies and posing with one of her eyes covered (in the infamous single-eye symbolism fashion)… and then the next moment, you see her in a music video where she is breaking mirrors, declaring her independence and strength, or supposedly 'breaking free' of what some believe are her 'handlers.' At the Grammys, it seems that she has made it clear which side she is on.
