In our body, seven energy centers or chakras exist at the physical counterparts of the chief plexuses of nerves, veins, and arteries. These chakras belong to the subtle (non-physical) body and act as confluence of subtle energy channels known as nadis. All the chakras are linked together. Although they are not of physical body, their connection with the former triggers a deep impact on different functions of the body. Therefore, while a proper balance can keep health under control, an imbalance in one of them can disturb the overall wellbeing in different ways.

Each chakra correlates to a particular body illness or dysfunctions, as it is the hub of mental and emotional strength. If one of them is functioning improperly, you might feel different symptoms listed below.

Muladhara Chakra (Root Chakra)

Representing stability and foundation, this chakra is responsible for safety and security even in most difficult situations of life. In case this is imbalanced, you are likely to feel:

  • Worries about work and money
  • Digestion problems
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Issues in hip, leg, and feet
  • Frequent visits to bathroom

Swadhisthana Chakra (Sacral)

Sahasrara (Crown Chakra)

Representing the ability to progress spiritually, this chakra is responsible for bliss and divine experiences. If imbalanced, you might feel:

  • Fear
  • Dissatisfaction
  • Depression
  • Dizziness
  • Continuous thoughts
