Six-six-six (666) is one of those infamous numbers that many people learn the meaning of at a young age. In the Book of Revelation of the New Testament, 666 is associated with being “the number of a man” associated with the beast ”“ a hostile creature that briefly appears in the apocalyptic vision. The number has become a widely accepted symbol for the Antichrist or the Devil. Considered bad luck by most, this number is actually embraced by those who are attracted to the dark side, support evil, or worship beings, such as Satan. They may use the number to summon Satan, and typically believe that its use can speed the coming of Lucifer and the New Age. Because of this, the number is sometimes hidden to conceal the true intentions of those who wish to use it.
Is it a mere fluke or were deliberate measures taken to incorporate the number ‘666’ in the creation of a handful of well-known logos? At first glance, the logo of the popular energy drink called Monster looks like the claw marks of a beast, but coincidentally the marks are eerily similar to the Hebrew symbol for vav (or the number six). If this is the case, then the claw marks read ‘666’. Other logos accused of incorporating the number of the Beast include Google Chrome, Vodafone (British multinational telecommunications company), and Cern (European Organization for Nuclear Research).
Movies are notorious for hidden images and messages that aren’t always apparent to the conscious mind, but can have an effect on the subconscious mind. All too often these signs are blatantly displayed, and it isn’t until someone points them out that you become aware. For example, a character in a cartoon called ‘Avatar’ wears a medallion with what appears to be decorated with triple 6’s. In addition to swaying from traditional Christian values, as well as the hidden sexual references found in a few frames of cartoon movies, hidden 6’s have also been detected within the logo of popular children’s brand, Disney.
Another sneaky symbol that people use to incorporate the number 666 into propaganda and mainstream media is the single-eye symbolism that signifies the Eye of Horus or ‘one eye’ ”“ the Eye of Lucifer. If you’re not aware of the meaning, you wouldn’t think twice about the popular hand gesture made by creating a circle with the pointer finger and thumb. The remaining three fingers are in an upward position. The sign looks like the ‘A-OK’ gesture, but is also used to signify the number ‘666.’ Look carefully and you’ll see the sign in many forms throughout print media, the music industry, and television broadcasts. Numerous celebrities and other important figures either purposefully or blindly use the gesture. Lady Gaga is infamous for displaying the symbol during performances, on album covers, and in photo shoots.
The number ‘666’ may have also been “hidden” in every UPC barcode ”“ a theory or discovery that has been discussed by numerous authors. In 1982, Mary Stewart Relfe published “The New Money System 666” and pointed out the use of code that highlights ‘666’ within UPC barcodes. According to Terry Cook, author of “The Mark of the New World Order” (1996): “”¦ the entire system [UPC barcode] is very deceptively designed around the infamous numerical configuration, Biblically known as 666, the mark of the Antichrist or devil (Revelation 13:16-18). . .”
