Palm readers will analyze the mounts of your hands, which appear at the base of the palm, top of the palm, and in the center of the palm. The development of the mounts will play a role, such as roundness, flatness, firmness and puffiness. The kinds of lines that run into the mounts will also reveal details about an individual. In this article, you will learn the names of the mounts, as well as some of their symbolic meanings.

At the base of the palm, you will find the:

Mount of Venus , You will find the Mount of Venus at the base of the thumb. It is the fleshy part of the palm. This part of the palm is associated with love and sex.

Mount of Luna , Also known as the Mount of the Moon, this part of the hand is found on the opposite side of the palm. It is the edge of the hand that is used when you karate chop something. The imagination and creativity is linked to this mount.

Mount of Neptune , The Mount of Neptune is found between the Mount of Venus and Mount of Luna. Palm readers see this part of the hand as indicating a strong personality.

At the top of the palm, you will find the:

Mount of Jupiter , You will find the Mount of Jupiter at the base of the index finger. It is here that you will learn about your power, good fortune, and leadership skills.

Mount of Saturn , At the base of the middle finger is where you will find the Mount of Saturn. Palm readers look to this part of the hand to indicate your level of thoughtfulness, quietness, balance, and mysticism.

Mount of Apollo , Also known as the Mount of the Sun, the Mount of Apollo is found at the base of the ring finger. This part of the hand signifies a happy personality and is also connected to art and beauty.

Mount of Mercury , At the base of the little finger, you will find the Mount of Mercury, which is linked to the wit, liveliness, and versatility of an individual.

Mars rules the middle of the hand.

The middle third of the hand is signified by the space between the base of the index finger and the inside base of the thumb. The active Mount of Mars is associated with strength and courage.  Depending on the person, an individual may show tendencies of aggression or cowardice in relation to this mount. On the opposing side, the passive Mount of Mars is found , on the percussive side of the palm. Passive courage is indicated here. Between the active and passive Mount of Mars is the Plain of Mars , it is the hollow of palm. Palm readers analyze this part of the hand to assess capability and practicality.
