FUTURE HISTORY: REVELATION

declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; ... (Isaiah 46:10)

Author’s Note:

This entire chapter is written and included in this book for one Primary reason: to attempt to keep unbelievers during the Tribulation from following the Anti-Christ and thus being eternally lost. They will (without the benefit of a regenerated spirit) face life and death choices with eternal life and death consequences. Hopefully, the knowledge in this chapter will save some. Revelation is first, last, and foremost the revealing of the reality of the Person of Christ Now: both the lamb and the Lion. All prophetic events in this book are entirely secondary to this unveiling. I would strongly recommend that those readers who are already born again do not read this chapter. It is, of necessity, written from the standpoint of knowledge and not from the view of life. As such, it can benefit believers very little and is much more likely to be a hindrance.

Having said the above, I fell obligated to deal with a closely related, pertinent matter. There has always been ‘escapist’ literature, even ‘Christian escapist’ literature; now more so than ever. To participate in the reality of the kingdom, a believer must be sober-minded and dwell in the present reality (neither in an historical past nor in an imagined future). Of what possible benefit to a believer’s relationship with Christ or to their growth in Him can any fictional book(s) about the future (including the tribulation) be? It is much more likely that this type of literature will only keep believers from redeeming the time.

I. When Will These Future Events Probably Happen?

There are certain verses in the Epistles where the Apostle warns the early Christians not to believe certain people who were saying that Christ was about to return soon. He further tells them- as an outward indication, that Christ will not literally return until after the Antichrist first appears. These verses were written because some people at that time were propagating a heretical teaching that Christ's return was not to be a literal, physical return; but was only a spiritual return, which occurred when a person converted. Also, because some of the early believers had the mistaken idea from certain verses that Christ's return would be very soon after His ascension, they let this concept interfere not only with their spiritual lives but also with their practical lives.

By no means do these verses mean that Christians should ignore the outward indications of Christ's Second Coming. Although such knowledge is unnecessary to a believer's growth, such awareness can well be a valuable tool in helping others, particularly non‑believers. All of God's word is valuable for our instruction, and Christ Himself gave most of the verses describing the outward signs of the Lord’s return to us. Thus, such knowledge is not to be ignored by us, but is to be used wisely, and in the proper perspective.

Again I am hesitant to write such a section as this, because erroneous predictions related to the time of Christ's return in the past have caused much unwarranted discounting of the validity of prophecy in God's word. However, the evidence I have to present is so conclusively indicative that I would be negligent if I didn't do so. Bear this in mind, though: I dare not be so foolish as to presume to be able to predict infallibly the time of Christ's return. Therefore, let the reader be the judge.

And Jesus answered and spake again in parables unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son. (Matt. 22:1‑2)

And he made us to be a kingdom, to be priests unto God and his Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Rev. 1:6)

I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.... I pray for them: I pray not for the world but for those Whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:’… Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word; ... Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. (John 17:6, 9, 20, 24)

Let us rejoice and be exceeding glad, and let us give the glory unto him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath herself ready. (Rev. 19:7)

Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God ... (2 Pet. 3:12)

But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. (Matt. 24:36)

As we have already seen, the exact time of the end of this age is somewhat indeterminate, being dependent, at least in part, on the exercise of free will on the part of believers, allowing the Lord to make the bride ready by working in them corporately to constitute them the bride. Also, the exact time of the end of this age is known only to God the Father and not known even by the Son. Nevertheless, the verse says that the Son does not know the day and hour. This strongly insinuates that the Son does know the year and the month and the week. Evidently this is the case, for the Lord told His disciples many outward signs, situations, and conditions that would be indicative of the time of this age's end and His return.

And as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciple came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, tell us, what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the consummation of the age? (Matt. 24:3)

What are some of the prevailing situations indicative of the end times close to the consummation of the age?

We must not, however, dismiss the story of doom, which we have just been considering without some reflections on the solemn warning drawn from it by the Savior. "But as the days of Noah were," is His awful declaration, "so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matt.xxiv.37‑39). Thus the closing scenes of this present age will be a reproduction of the days of Noah: the. same intense worldliness, and at last positive inability to care for the things of God, which was displayed by the antediluvians, will also be characteristic of our world when Christ begins the judgments that will quickly culminate in the glory of His appearing.

It seems fair, then, to infer that this second manifestation of the spirit that worked in them who were disobedient before the flood will be effected by a conjunction of causes similar to that which formerly produced it. And hence, as we have already remarked, it becomes a matter of the greatest practical importance to comprehend these causes: for whenever they are again found to be simultaneously affecting the mass of the world's population, the fact will afford a strong presumption that we are drifting rapidly to the great consummation of wickedness; that the avenging glory of the Lord is about to be revealed, so that all flesh shall see it together.... The seven great causes of the antediluvian apostasy have been already noticed, and may summed up as follows.

I. A tendency to worship God as Elohim, that is, merely as the Creator and Benefactor, and not as Jehovah the covenant God of mercy, dealing with transgressors who are appointed to destruction, and finding a ransom for them.
II. An undue prominence of the female sex, and a disregard of the primal law of marriage.

III. A rapid progress in the mechanical arts, and the consequent invention of

many devices whereby the hardships of the curse were mitigated, and life was rendered more easy and indulgent. Also a proficiency in the fine arts, which captivated the minds of men, and helped to induce an entire oblivion of God.

IV. An alliance between the nominal church and the world, which speedily resulted in a complete amalgamation.

V. A vast increase of population.

VI. The rejection of the preaching of Enoch (and Noah) whose warning thus became a savoir of death unto the world, and hardened men beyond recovery.

VII. The appearance upon earth of beings from the Principality of the Air,

and their unlawful intercourse with the human race. 304

Let the reader be the judge as to whether or not these conditions are more prevalent today than ever before in history. Consider also that these indicated conditions of the end times were written over a hundred years ago.

Knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mocking, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is it; the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2 Pet. 3:3‑4)

Some people are hard to convince, so let me go into more precise detail.

Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy. Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and three score and two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times. And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined. And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate. (Dan. 9:24‑27)

Daniel was given a vision of future events. This vision consisted of 70 weeks of years, the last week of which would be the last 7 years of human government before the return of Christ to set up His kingdom on the Earth. These 70 weeks of years were divided into 3 sections: 7 weeks of years, 62 weeks of years, and the last week of years.

It is a historical fact that from the time of the decree to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem to the time of Christ's Crucifixion was 69 weeks of years (483 years). It was 7 weeks of years (49 years) from the decree to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem to the completing of the rebuilding. It was 62 weeks of years (434 years) from then until the day of Christ's Crucifixion. There is an indeterminate period of time, however, between the end of the 69th week and the beginning of the last (70th) week. We have already seen the reasons for this indeterminacy. Let us now examine other, related prophecies in order to narrow things down further.

And Jesus answered and spake again in parables, saying ... But the king was wroth, and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. (Matt. 22:1, 7)

Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation. (Matt. 23:36)

If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both‑our place and our nation. (John 11:48)

The Lord prophesied that the people of the prince that shall come would destroy the temple and the city of Jerusalem within the generation who witnessed His crucifixion. A generation according to the Bible is not necessarily 40 years. The Lord was crucified during the year we record as 33 A.D. Accordingly, His prophecy stated that the armies (of the Roman Empire) would destroy the temple and city of Jerusalem no later than A.D. 71, something that had occurred only once previously, over 500 years before. The temple and city of Jerusalem had been rebuilt for over 400 years. Yet, in A.D. 70, 37 years, and about 4 months later, the Roman armies under Titus destroyed Jerusalem.

The Bible is entirely precise in its message, including its prophecies.

Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh; even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. (Matt. 24:32‑34)

Even so ye also when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh. (Luke 21:31)

And he spake this parable; a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none. And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit in this fig tree, and find none: cut it down, why doth it also cumber the ground? (Luke 13:6‑7)

A consideration of this passage with its context makes it apparent that spiritualism will be prevalent among the Jews when they return in unbelief to their own land: but that, upon the advent of their King, they will be forever freed from that curse which was the cause of their former expulsion.305

It has been realized by students of the Bible for more than a hundred years (Footnote #305, published in 1876) that the parable of the fig tree meant that Israel would become a nation again. The prophecy of the Lord related to the parable of the fig tree stated that the generation that sees the fig tree put forth its leaves shall not pass away till “all these things” are accomplished. "All these things" refers to verses immediately preceding these verses, verses that describe outward signs of the end times and include the actual, physical return of Christ to the Earth.

Israel became a nation again on May 14, 1948. This event was the fig tree becoming tender (showing unmistakable signs of life). However, the last generation starts with the putting forth of the leaves by the fig tree and not with her branch becoming tender. This (as we shall see very shortly) refers to 1967.

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the earth, and wrath unto this people. And they (the Jews) shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be

trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (Luke 21:22‑24)

Another end‑time prophecy that must be fulfilled before the return of Christ is that all of Jerusalem would be returned to the control of the Jews. This prophecy was fulfilled with the Six‑Day Arab‑Israeli war in 1967. Do you think that this is merely coincidence?

And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate. (Dan. 9:27)

Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that Antichrist cometh ... (1 John 2:18)

let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of lawlessness be revealed, the son of perdition. (2 Thess. 2:3)

And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, even the fortress, and shall take away the burnt‑offering, and they shall set up the abomination that maketh desolate. (Dan. 11:31)

The Antichrist will set up the abomination of desolation (his idol) in the middle of the last week of years. The reanimation of the body of the slain seventh Caesar occurs precisely at the beginning of the last three and a half years. Are there any indicative outward signs of that time from which we may draw conclusions?

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven fallen unto the earth: and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss. (Rev. 9:1)

And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him (Rev. 12:9)

And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a rig tree casteth her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind. And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Rev. 6:12‑14)

And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the inhabited earth: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. (Luke 21:25-26)

Immediately upon the casting out of heaven of Satan and his angels, Satan descends to the abyss with the key of Hades to release, among other things, the soul of Nero to reanimate the slain body of the seventh Caesar. It is clear from the correlation between these verses that the great earthquake of the sixth seal occurs shortly‑ probably three days before the reanimation of the body of the seventh Caesar to become the eighth Caesar, the Antichrist. This earthquake thus occurs shortly before the last three and a half years, since the great Tribulation begins with the reanimation of the Antichrist.

Although this earthquake will be of supernatural magnitude, unlike the subsequent calamities of the great Tribulation, it will have natural causes. Can we thus determine approximately when this earthquake is likeliest to occur?

Notice that Luke 21:25‑26 is a description of outward signs also occurring at this time, since it is at the same time as these outward signs that the powers of the heavens are shaken and Satan and his angels are cast out. What causes the roaring of the sea and the billows (waves)? What is the main cause of wave action? Mainly tidal forces resulting from the influence of the moon and the sun form waves. What are the only signs in the sun that are visible to the naked eye? Sunspots!

The word translated as 'stars' in Luke 21:25 may equally be in reference to the planets. Is there a connection between the cause of this great earthquake and these other, simultaneously occurring outward signs?

Large spots are big enough to be recorded by the unaided eye though it need hardly be said that the Sun is too bright to be studied without damage to the human eye.... Detailed records of naked‑eye sunspots were kept in China and Korea over a period of several thousand years. 306

According to Wood, the next two sunspot cycles will peak in 1982 and 1993 ...307

In an attempt to find the relation of earthquakes to other natural phenomenon, a statistical investigation of the earthquakes of the middle of the nineteenth century was conducted, and the results suggested that earthquakes are more numerous when the moon is new and again when it is full, or when the pull of the moon acts in the same direction as the pull of the sun or when it acts in the opposite direction. The time when the moon is in perigee, or closest to the earth was also found to be favorable for earthquakes. 308

Now, to the surprise of many scientists, there has come evidence that in one limited respect the astrologers were not so wrong after all; it seems that the alignments of the planets can, for sound scientific reasons, affect the behavior of the earth. The gravity of the planets can affect the Sun, through tidal interaction, and disturbances on the Sun an influence the Earth through change in the Solar System. Only on very rare occasions can these small effects add up to produce any dramatic results on earth. But one of these occasions‑ an alignment of the planets which occurs only once every 179 years‑ is due in 1982. We are convinced that this will trigger off regions of earthquake activity on Earth ... 309

The only natural kind of sign in the planets, an alignment of the planets, could possibly be a trigger for the regions of earthquake activity on the Earth. Coincidence?

Thus, indications are that this great earthquake could be triggered as early as 1982. It is not necessary that this trigger be able of itself to cause more than a significantly greater amount of earthquake activity, it is only necessary to establish a causal relationship between these two phenomena‑ since its magnitude will be supernatural. Can we pin down the probable timing of this earthquake more exactly?

The speed with which the Earth turns on its axis is not steady. Variations in this speed, and the resulting change in the length of day (for one day is simply the time for the Earth to turn on its axis once) can be divided into three groups. First, there is a slow but steady increase in the length of day. This slowing of the Earth's rotation is the result of lunar and solar gravitational effects, and is continuing all the time at a rate of 0.00016 seconds per century.... Second, there is an annual and semiannual seasonal variation in the length of day, and the amount of this variation itself changes from year to year. . . . The third kind of variation in the Earth's rate of spin falls under a catch‑all phrase‑ “irregular fluctuations,” which means anything that the earth scientist and astronomers cannot explain by the first two effects. 310

Both sets of measurements are plotted- with the yearly and six monthly parts of the seasonal variation taken out. 311

The speeding up of the Earth between Spring and Fall is very clear (see figure 10) but how many of the other wiggles in the graph are the result of seasonal effects? 312

Let us narrow the time span for the most likely occurrence of this earthquake. What day of the year should we choose as the focal point of most likely occurrence? The most likely time for the triggering of the earthquake is the time midway between the spring and fall of 1982. Thus, the focal point of likeliest time is midnight August 4- 5, 1982 (Israeli time), midway between spring and fall. Are there any other outward prophetic signs that we may refer to?

And the seventh angel sounded: and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever. (Rev. 11:5)

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matt. 24:30)

What is the sign of the Son of man (accent on and in reference to His humanity), which will appear "in heaven" before the time of Christ's actual return?

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, Wise‑men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born king of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him.... Then Herod privily called the Wise‑men, and learned of them exactly what time the star appeared.... And they, having heard the king, went their way; and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. (Matt. 2:1‑2, 7, 9‑10)

Subsequent investigation has shown that Halley's comet has been observed and recorded on every passage near the sun at intervals of from 74 to 79 years since 240 B.C. The period varies somewhat because of perturbations upon its orbit produced by the Jovian planets. 313

The instrument in accomplishing this amalgamation was the abbot Dionysus the Little, to whom also we owe it, as modern chronologers have demonstrated, that the date of the Christian era, or of the birth of Christ Himself, was moved FOUR YEARS from the true time. Whether this was done through ignorance or design may be a matter of question; but there seems to be no doubt of the fact, that the birth of the Lord Jesus was made full four years later than the truth. 314

Tails generally grow in size as comets near the sun; some comet tails have reached lengths of more than 100 million miles. 315

Due to the juggling of records by the Roman Catholic Church, Christ was actually born in the year that we record as 4 B.C. Subtracting 4 B.C. from 240 B.C. gives us 236 years between the time of the star that the Wise‑men followed and the recorded date of the visit of Halley's Comet in 240 B.C. Dividing 236 years by three (the number of intervals between successive visits) gives us 78 years and 8 months per interval- within the 74 to 79 year variation of the period of Halley's Comet. Undoubtedly, Halley's comet was considerably more brilliant then than now. Almost certainly this was the star that the Wise‑men followed, and it was the tail of Halley's comet that was used by God to point their way.

And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds in the same country abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. (Luke 2:7‑8)

But, you would correctly tell me, the star appeared at night: meaning that in order for the tail of Halley's Comet to point to the earth to guide the Wise‑men it would have to be pointing toward the sun, and everyone knows that comets' tails always point away from the sun, don't they?

The comet which most obviously contradicted the popular notion was Comet Arend Roland, which succeeded in displaying a tail, which pointed directly towards the Sun. That bold statement must be qualified by admitting that it also had a perfectly normal tail, pointing roughly away from the Sun. There have been other comets with similar Sun‑pointing tails they have been called "bearded" comets‑ but Arend Roland was the brightest and best seen for many years, being observed by millions of people throughout the northern hemisphere in April 1957. 316

Material emitted several days previously is still strewn along the path of the comet, and forms the anti‑tail, 56 million km long but only 15,000 km wide. 317

Not only are there well‑documented cases of comets having another tail pointing toward the sun, but also the cause of these anti‑tails is such that any comet in any of its appearances is capable of having an anti-tail. Also, having such an anti‑tail in one of its appearances does not in anyway affect whether or not it will have an anti‑tail on other appearances. In other words, it is entirely plausible that Halley's comet exhibited such an anti‑tail during its appearance at the time of the birth of Christ (to be used by God to point the way for the Wise‑men) and may not have exhibited such an anti‑tail before or since. When is Haley's Comet due to appear again?

The next appearance of Halley's comet will be in 1986 ... it will appear brightest in February of 1986 . . 318

Coincidence or fulfillment of prophecy? I also find it to be very significant that Halley's Cornet reached its apogee and thus began its return to the vicinity of the Earth's orbit in 1948, the year of Israel's reestablishment.

The alignment of the planets converges with a sunspot peak only once every 1,969 years. Due to the mortality of short‑period comets, this will almost certainly be the only time that such a convergence is followed at the appropriate time by an appearance of Haley’s Comet. In this situation, we have the precise concurrence of a series of events that is unique, with a single event (Israel) that is likewise unique, all of which was prophesied nineteen centuries ago. Mathematically, there is no chance whatsoever that these events are merely coincidental.

Only one statement can be made with complete assurance concerning the timing of the commencement of the rapture (and of the occurrence of the great earthquake of the sixth seal): No one (including this author) can know precisely when it will be. Also, we will not know what week Christ will probably return in until the Antichrist rises to power. Nevertheless, there are strong indications that can be drawn from the correlation of prophecy and astronomical-geological data.

It is as close to 100 percent certainty as possible that the generational deadline for the return of Christ applies to the generation that witnessed the possession of all of Jerusalem by Israel. However, the precise length of such a generational period is not 100% definitive.

Scripturally, we know also that Christ will not return physically until after the "sign of the Son of man" appears. If Halley's comet is indeed this sign, then the great earthquake cannot occur until the first week of August 1982, at the earliest. We know also, from Scripture, that this great earthquake does not occur until after the signs in the sun and moon and stars (planets) concur. The concurrence of the signs in the sun and planets only narrows down the timing of the occurrence of this prerequisite prophecy to the year of 1982. To narrow the timing of this prophecy further, we must consider what must be the fulfillment of the "sign in the moon."

What is the only natural sign in the moon, and does such occur in 1982? The only natural sign in the moon, an eclipse, occurred on the night of July 5‑6, 1982. How does this eclipse relate to the beginning of the likeliest time for this earthquake, the first week of August 1982? The most likely time of day (although by no means conclusively) for the commencement of the rapture (the rapture of the man‑child and first‑fruits) is midnight ("At midnight, a cry was made."), Israeli time. This spectacular total eclipse in July occurred precisely one lunar cycle before midnight (Israeli time), August 4‑5, 1982; which, in turn, is exactly mid-way between Spring and Fall. It is my opinion that the inference to be drawn from this sign in the moon is that the last week of years can start at any time after midnight of August 4‑5 1982.

Additionally, I have heard that the temple steps in Jerusalem were found on the side of the wailing wall away from the Dome of the Rock: meaning that the Dome of the Rock, the second most sacred shrine of Islam, is therefore not a barrier to the rebuilding of the temple, which must occur before the last three and a half years.

With regard to this section, I do not say that I am right- error is always possible. Let the reader be the judge. Regardless, I stand by both the inevitability and the sequence of the events in this chapter. I do know this: the time left until the Lord's return is very short and these conditions appear to fit those of His return. Therefore, what I do say is this: If you are a born‑again believer, you need to get out of Babylon and into what the Lord is doing today on the earth.

If you are a devout Jew, you should be living in Israel.

If you are a non‑believer, you need to know that when this great earthquake strikes, you may have at most only a few hours (or no time at all) left in which you can repent and accept Christ.

Author's Note:

"To err is human". Please forgive me. My only excuse is that I had some compelling evidence and neglected that no man knows the exact timing. Utilizing what I hope to be closer to 20/20 hindsight, I think that the following conclusions are both accurate and appropriate:

1. Before midnight Israeli time August 4‑5, 1982 the last 3 1/2 years before the physical return of Christ (the Great Tribulation) could not begin. Now it can begin anytime.

2. We still see through a glass darkly what the 3 1/2 years before (the first half of the last week of years) that will transpire as.

3. In His mercy, the Lord has tarried. He probably should have been back no later than 1996.

As in Noah's day, the last generation before the second coming of Christ will have the same outstanding characteristic: VIOLENCE. Are there any alarm bells starting to go off yet? Hopefully at this point there are fewer skeptics than there were at first. But for those who are still hanging in there, let me try to reach you. Lest you (subconsciously or otherwise) in any way equate me with the well‑known caricature of an assumedly mentally unbalanced person carrying a sign that says, "The End is Near"; let us continue to deal with this subject as I hopefully have with others: logically and objectively.

What we do know about the time of the coming of the Son of man is that it will be like the flood of Noah, sudden and unexpected. Since such an event will be disastrous (in the eyes of the world), for it to be unexpected requires that the

conditions of the material system are apparently in good shape prior to this occurrence‑ (I'm okay, you're okay, the world is okay).

Well, I hate to rain on your parade but: let us see whether or not the world is really okay. The true health of a society is not measured by the broadcasts of the top 1% or even of the top 10%. The true health of a society (in this case global) is measured by the condition of the bottommost 51%. Take a good, long, accurate look at that. What I am trying my best to tell you is that somewhere probably not too very much further ahead is a cliff. Do not expect the lemmings up front to warn you‑ some of them probably already realize that they are airborne. It is not and never has been in the best interests of those in first class to warn the masses in steerage that the ship is sinking and there are not enough lifeboats. Fortunately, this lifeboat has unlimited space. But the door will not remain open forever. God the Father closed the door Himself on Noah's ark and He will close the door on this one (Christ). Although infinitely wealthy, God is not a foolish 'sugar‑daddy'‑ He has to be a wise businessman. And this world is rapidly approaching the point of diminishing returns.
