Paranoia is mental disorder that leaves a person feeling that something dreadful and terrible is going to happen to him and that others are against them. This position remains constant and unnecessarily too much.

Psychiatric disorder of extreme distrust and unreasonable doubt of other people and their motives involving systematize illusion, usually of discrimination and persecution. It is a disturbed thought process described by extreme anxiety or fear to the point of delusion and absurdity.

It is a type of phobia in which a person experiences logically steady hallucinations of harassment or dignity.

Paranoia is a rational disorder in which the chief symptom is severe disbelieves and doubt of others; the paranoid person may think that people are out to kill him or her.

Key Symptoms

1.    Patient may have delusion in which well-known people from mythology or history emerge. They keep up a correspondence related to the patient’s illusion of dignity and magnificent

2.    Very common paranoid illusion is the conviction that the patient is being followed, loved or poisoned at a distance.

3.    Other common paranoid delusions include the belief that the individual has had feelings put in or detached from conscious thought; it means to say that the person’s actions are being controlled by an external force , GOD.

4.    In Paranoid, patient seems to oversimplify and projects fears and anxieties on top of the external world mostly in the form of restricted behavior.

5.    Be aware of strange claims like believing your mind is being controlled, having extraordinary powers, being on a confidential mission, that you have been poisoned, having a famous lover, or that you’re being unfairly sought by the police.

6.    Note whether you are constantly doubtful of the motives of people around you and feel that you have to be careful because some certain people are “out to get you.”

7.    Beware of the belief that you are continually being harmed or are going to be harmed.

8.    Monitor signs of emotional distance, self-centeredness and delusions of magnificence and being excessively suspicious.

Key Guidelines:

Guiding principles for paranoia make it simple and easier for mental health. These are:

1.    The exact cause of paranoia is unknown, but it is believed that chronic stress, brain alterations, neurological abnormalities or genetics can bring it on.

2.    Always look for help immediately. It is a behavior that happens in many mental illnesses, such as depression or dementia, so it needs to be diagnosed properly and treated timely.

3.    There are different treatment methods depending on the severity and type of the paranoia.

4.    A psychiatrist or medical doctor can diagnose and treat paranoia disorder.
