Haunted Parks in California

Bell Gardens is home to the John Anson Ford Park, located close to a small forest. It is believed that somewhere between 1972 and 1973, two boys residing in Cudahy were murdered in the park. The next morning, their bodies were discovered , their throats slashed. To this day, it is thought that the ghosts of the two boys continue to haunt the park.

The girls’ bathroom in Crook Park (located in Placentia) is believed haunted by the ghost of a girl who was raped and murdered within the vicinity. Her killer was never discovered and it is said that every afternoon, strange happenings take place in the girls bathroom, such as the flickering of lights when no one is in sight, as well as unexplainable screaming. Placentia is also home to the Tri-City Park, where late night joggers keep an extra eye out for the screams of the Old Lady who is believed to be searching for her lost children. The park is also known to deliver a batch of scary footsteps often heard by the local pond.

In Rancho Cucamonga, the men’s restroom in Red Hill Park (located by the auditorium) has an assortment of odd events take place. For starters, once inside , some have reporting catching sight of the body of a dead dog with blood dripping to the ground. Just as quickly as you spot the canine is just as quickly as it disappears.  If you happen to be in the bathroom between the hours of 3 am and 3:45 am , this is when the strange activity has been encountered. If you’re really lucky, you may come in contact with the ghost of the  little boy who likes to slide across the bathroom floor , usually scraping his knees in the process.

If you pay a visit to the Bodie State Park in Bodie, beware of taking home a souvenir, as rumor has it , there is a curse placed on anyone who tries to take a piece of the park away.

Canoga Park is the location where a haunted Jack in The Box is found. A host of sightings involve the vision of a man who is sometimes seen standing at the drive-thru window , dressed in all red. Weird things takes place on the premises, such as the milkshake machines turning on without warning and the unexplainable movement of furniture throughout the night. Employees have also encountered frozen food on the floor with no explanation as to how it got there.
