As we explore some of the haunted locations in Utah, we will take a look at the power of one of the oldest railroad station sits in the state, as well as some of the odd events that have taken place and still occur throughout Lehi, Utah.
In Ogden, one of the oldest railroad stations situated in the state is called Union Station, which can be found at the west end of 25th Street. It is at this location that reoccurring unexplainable paranormal activity and the continual sighting of apparitions have been known to take place. The strength of such events was so powerful that numerous investigations have occurred on the premises; some of which captured on national television for all to see. Today, the railroad station now serves as a local museum and if you can muster up enough courage, you might be able to seek out maintenance workers, who can furnish a few tales to fuel your curiosity.
Throughout the state, there are also schools that hold interesting ghost tales of their own. For example, in Kearns, the junior high of the same name is a place in town where the students are quite familiar with the tales regarding the supposed “family” that lives at the on the premises and sometimes stares at you from a perch located at the top of the stairs. Throughout the shadows of the school, it is believed that one may come in contact with the spirits of a mother, father, two girls and one boy.
The Lehi High School in Lehi is said to showcase a host of odd events during the night, as teachers claim to have come face-to-face with ghosts who apparently run throughout the halls and speak with one another. When alone, some teachers admitted to feeling as if they were being watched and even believe that something or someone (such as a spirit) was responsible for the feeling of someone breathing on their necks.
Lehi is also home to the Lehi Historical Hospital, which has been around for more than 100 years. Over time, the windows have become broken and the back stairs of the building collapsed to the ground. During the night, reports have swirled that the vision of a nurse hanging from the flag pole has surfaced on more than one occasion. Legend has it that the nurse was working late one night at the ward when a crazed doctor took her outside and hung her out to die.
Midvale is the site where the Union Middle School can be found. Tales are attached to the school regarding a rather large, black shadow that is said to haunt the halls. When all of the students have shuffled into class, it is believed that this apparition will take items away from the teachers. Some teachers are so spooked that they dismiss the claims of the shadow and tell themselves they are only misplacing the items of their own doing.
