Traveling throughout Gloucestershire, England? There are two different sites that may spark your paranormal interest. The first is called the
Ram Inn, and is situated in Wooton Under Edge. It is here that you will find an inn that has been in this same location since the turn of the 13th century.
Throughout the years, the inn has presented several different acts of paranormal significance.
Witnesses have reported sighting apparitions at this location. Unexplainable voices have been known to call out the names of those they come in contact with. Lapses in temperature, such as cold spots, have been encountered at this inn. Odd footsteps travel throughout the premises. An extra plus at this site occurs when one takes a photo: weird shapes have taken form within developed flicks taken from within.
The second site to take notice of when visiting Gloucestershire is called the
King’s Head Hotel and it is positioned in Cirencester. At this hotel, a variety of spirits are known to call this location their home. Some witnesses claim to have encountered a cavalier, while others insist they have met up with a ghostly monk. For an added bonus, there is a secret tunnel on the premises, which was used to provide a gateway to abbey cellars located close to the hotel.
When traveling throughout
Harpenden, Hertfordshire, England, you will find the Cross Keys, which has a history of ghostly monks frequented the premises. During the 60s, they were known to make appearances about the bar. Where the pub is now, there was once a guesthouse that housed religious travelers standing in its place.
In Poole, Dorset, there is the Crown Hotel to take notice of. It might make you feel a bit uncomfortable to spend a night because the sound of ghostly children playing about the premises has been reported. There are also plenty of other paranormal occurrences to explore when spending a night at this site. Legend has it that there were a pair of siblings (twins) who were deformed. Shielded from the public, they were kept in a locked room in the upstairs portion of the hotel and are said to haunt to premises today.
There is another hotel in Shaftsbury, Dorset to keep in mind when you’re ghost hunting in England. The
Grosvenor Hotel in England is haunted by a host of ghosts, one being a female that is referred to as the Grey Lady. There are also numerous phantom monks to keep an eye on. In the past, the house was once a place of lodging for religious passersby before it became the pub we see today.
For a more regal exploration into the paranormal, you might want to check out the Langholm Hilton, which is situated in Portland Place, London, England. When happening upon this hotel, you may come in contact with the apparition of a man. This spirit is believed to be the ghost of a German prince, who took his own life during the early 20th century. From the balcony of the hotel, the prince jumped to his death.
What would cause this man to commit such an act?
