Beach Road , Temple Hills
If you look in all the right places, you will find a steep hill that leads to a small pond , which is covered with a lot of bushes and such. There are two trees in the region that are intertwined with one another and it is said that if you walk underneath them , you will encounter a “funny” feeling , especially in your arms and shoulders. There is a rumor that in the 1960’s, some teenagers used to fish in the pond, often climbing on the branches in order to jump into the water. However, one drowned and his friends were unable to save his life. It is believed that two of the teenagers present will still pay a visit to the pond.
Ghost Light Road , Hebron
What a name to have for a road! It is said that before the road was paved , large orbs of light frequented the area and would stand still whenever someone approached. Many people have claimed to see the light, which was nicknamed the “Ghost Light.” However, when the roads were paved , the sightings stopped.
Asylum Road , Catonsville
The grounds are home to an abandoned mansion that has been closed to the public for some time. There have been times when people would pay a visit and stop in front. It is reported that odd whispers will fill the air and sometimes an unexplainable tapping is heard that seems to be coming from inside the residence. Some people claim to have seen someone walking about, but when approached , the vision vanishes.
Mary Street , Cumberland
It is said that a witch, who had gained a reputation for attracting the souls of those that was lost, inhabited a house on this street. The home is believed to be haunted. Those who have bought the residence are troubled with the sound of unexplainable footsteps that appear to come from the basement. In the attic, residents believe that objects are moving about.
Main Street – Ellicott City
Head for the Historic District and you will encounter a bar by the name of Judge’s Bench. On the third floor, it is said that the ghost of a young woman who committed suicide by hanging haunted the joint. Main Street is also the site of an old firehouse, which is believed haunted by the ghosts of a couple of old firemen. Doors have been known to slam without warning. One of the ghosts has been sighted on the premises and unexplainable footsteps also plague the vicinity.
Seven Hills Road and College Road , Ellicott City
If you travel right off of Main Street, you will find seven hills in your midst. Legend has it , by the time you reach the seventh hill at midnight , a possessed car will appear and chase you down it.
