When it comes to preparing oranges for the use of treating medical problems, you will find several different methods for preparing the fruit, neroli oil, and orange peel. There are also certain precautions and warnings associated with the use of this herbal wonder. In this article, we will explore some of the ways an individual may use the orange as an alternative treatment in medicine.

When preparing any herbal remedies containing the parts of the orange, you should first know a few things before getting started. Individuals need to know that when using any oranges or tangerines from the grocery store to make your treatments, you should choose the items that are organically ground. This is because the presence of pesticides may contaminate the remedies you are trying to prepare. Also, pregnant women should limit the use or refrain from using bitter orange during their pregnancy because it has been known to cause early contractions.

When using the fruit of the orange to create herbal treatment, there are two ways to approach this option. You will most likely create decoctions and tinctures made from the fruit. A decoction made from oranges can be used to treat indigestion, constipation, as well as deal with a nasty little cough. When combined with dang gui, menstrual pain can be eradicated. Orange tinctures have been known to bring about positive results for shock, insomnia, and uneasiness. Using drop doses is suggested for this method of treatment.

Visit the local health food store or place an order to acquire the very effective herbal remedy of neroli oil, which comes from the extract of orange blossoms. Neroli oil is often used to create creams, massage oils, and orange flower water to ease the symptoms of a wide-range of medical mayhem. Adding 1-2 drops of the oil to skin cream and you can better combat the effects of an array of skin conditions. Adding 1-2 drops of the oil to 10 ml of almond oil and you will prepare a massage oil that has treated nervous conditions, as well as an upset stomach.

Orange flower water is also an effective herbal option that possesses soothing properties. The orange flower water can be used to treat insomnia, uneasiness and shock. When adding 5-10 ml of this by-product of steam distillation to the bottle of a baby, you may find that their sleepless nights may decrease. It can also be used to treat colic.

In the case of orange peels, decoctions and syrups can be prepared from this part of the fruit. The ripe and unripe variety of orange peels is both used to create a decoction that is used to treat indigestion and bloating of the stomach area. Taking chen pi (the well-dried peel from a ripe orange) offers relief from coughs. Chen pi can also be used to create a syrup mixture that works wonders on coughs. The correct dose for this herbal remedy is 2-4 ml of syrup.
