“Hold on to your butts.”
If you’ve seen the movie Jurassic Park, then you remember that line made by Samuel L. Jackson’s character after the mainframe was about to restarted. But in a twisted turn of events, it seems that life is about to intimidate art.
Clive Palmer, an Australian billionaire who’s made roughly $8 billion through natural resources, is about to make his Jurassic Park a reality. However, Mr. Palmer has yet to comment on the subject. While this concept sounds like a joke, the information apparently comes from a very close source to Mr. Palmer’s inner circle. This is the same source that provided an exclusive to the Sunshine Coast Daily for his plans to build towering hotels, a 20 story sky needle, and a giant London Eye-style ferris wheel at his new complex The Palmer Resort in Coolum, Australia. Rumor has it, that the billionaire is working very close with the people that brought Dolly the sheep to life. The location of this park is said to be at The Palmer Resort.
This is not the first time that Mr. Palmer has decided to take on eccentric venture. Earlier this year, Mr. Palmer said that he had commissioned China’s navy to build an exact replica to the “Titanic.” Labeled the “Titanic II”, plans are scheduled for its maiden voyage to cross the Atlantic in 2016.
“It is going to be designed so it won’t sink,” Mr. Palmer told reporters. “It will be designed as a modern ship with all the technology to ensure that doesn’t happen.”
While Mr. Palmers endeavors are quite the story, whether he goes through with it is another. The idea to create Jurassic Park has been a dream for many who had seen the movie. But if it’s one thing the movie taught us it’s that life most of the time can’t be controlled. Life finds a way. And, unfortunately, when life found a way on that island, it didn’t end well for the people you watched over those animals. But it is just a movie, right?
