The UFO activity that normally statistically favors the east and western coasts in the United States shifted its attention strangely to the American Midwest on the 15th of December. The reports, by some estimates are alleging the increase of reports coming out from the Midwest to be approaching a 400% increase when compared to earlier in the month. And a number of them are related to what appears to be one mysterious formation that moved across several counties as it was tracked by witnesses from the ground.
The first sighting happened in O’Fallon Missouri when a little after 6:10 when the witness was driving home on their way to work they noticed three lights in the sky blinking in succession in a straight line. The witness then noticed the objects were maintaining their distance as though they were fairly far away but moving in a similar direction as her. As she got home she ran inside and asked her husband without even turning off the engine to her car. Her husband, a veteran in the military of several years, was likely taken by surprise as she came running in asking him to come outside to attempt to discern the source of the lights. Having much experience in identifying aircraft, he went outside and attempted to judge what the objects could possibly be. Nothing about the objects seemed likely to be explainable by any known military maneuver, and their formation seemed extremely odd for military craft. In addition, he said it was unusual that they would all blink in succession (first one, then the next, finally the last) like they were. As they watched the objects finally headed away vanishing behind some trees. The couple got in their car and started following the objects, but unfortunately lost sight of them.
The next sighting reported from Robertsville in Missouri, occurred shortly after the first one, and likely during it. The second story parallels the first story in almost every way. As she was driving home from work at 6:15, the witness sighted an object moving quickly along in what appeared to be a three light formation, each light blinking after the previous one completely vertically. As the witness pulled into the driveway, she called to her husband, who had also been in the military for several years. Unlike the first witnesses, however, these two got in their vehicle immediately and peeled out of their driveway following the objects. As they continued west following them, they saw the three lights turn so that they were now horizontal rather than vertical, although still in a straight line.
The third witness, as she was coming home from work stood in the parking lot outside and noticed the objects standing with her coworker as they moved across the sky. At first she thought they may have been. Helicopters, but as they stood there, they realized jets were passing beneath them, and the objects were almost definitely higher up than helicopters could travel.
The bizarre synchronicity of this case in addition to its strange nature appears to be one of the most interesting aspects. All witnesses saw these objects as they were leaving work, and two decided after getting home to chase them. How many others found themselves mirroring these sightings but simply didn’t report it?
