It’s strange to think that two different witnesses could observe the same mysterious objects traveling over interstate 75 up to the northern tip of Michigan and report them days apart from one another in two very different locations and yet depict strikingly similar objects. The UFOs themselves were not particularly dramatic, but the witnesses and the circumstances surrounding the report certainly comes with its share of questions.
The first witness, just south of Ann Arbor Michigan reported to the Mutual UFO Network that they were sitting on their balcony on the 11th enjoying the night air just prior to sunset when they looked up and saw a single light in the sky split into two different ones and hang suspended in the sky changing only its brightness, which gradually got more intense as time went by. The witness was initially under the impression that this brightness was increasing in intensity because the objects themselves were descending, but then they began moving south. As a commercial airliner passed by moving north, the objects hung suspended for several minutes before suddenly following it in a northerly direction.
“I was upset with myself that I did not run to get my camera because I was afraid by time I got back it would have been gone,” the witness said in their report, but they did make excellent mental notes of the objects and their progress as they moved away. They finally moved out of view as they moved North up toward Canada. This is particularly interesting as the objects would later be reported by another Michigan resident just south of Mackinaw City who reported the same thing.
As the second witness was driving they noticed two objects similar to the ones reported by the Ann Arbor Witness slowly moving through the sky at an estimated altitude of somewhere between eight and ten thousand feet. As the witness watched in shocked awe, they pulled their van over to the side of the road and just sat there watching before deciding to get out of the van. As they watched, the objects shifted in the sky always seeming to move in formation relative to one another and moving at incredible speeds. The objects finally disappeared when they moved at an upward angle gaining altitude very quickly before finally vanishing in the distance. How they managed this is still unknown. The witness did report taking photographic evidence with a cell phone during this incident, but it was not submitted to MUFON as it was of low quality and did not provide detail on either object.
What were these objects doing in the area, and why did they feel compelled to visit twice? Or were they even the same objects? It seems like quite a coincidence for two completely different people to report the same object in different areas of the same state spaced days apart from one another, but one can never fully rule out the possibility of coincidence.
And as each day passes more UFO sightings occur over the summer. Will these seemingly unrelated incidents some day soon result in full contact with extraterrestrial beings one day? Or will this prove to be yet another mystery that will remain forever unexplainable?
