For the third day in a row, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) has received reports of a mysterious blue and red flashing and glowing object. The object being reported has been seen by at least three separate groups of witnesses, and possibly more who did not report it hovering near major highways in or around Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Plymouth.
The first report came in at around one in the morning from two witnesses in Indianapolis who stopped the car and snapped an image of a distant blue disc in the sky. Unfortunately, the object didn’t appear clearly on film as is often the case with night shots of distant objects. But the distant point of light did display the color of blue the reported object was emitting. The witness also reported that the object was flashing red and white as well, and moving with incredible speed through the sky as it was witnessed. Additionally, the object was said to be moving far more erratically than conventional aircraft, pulling up and hovering low before darting into the distance.
The following night, in Fort Wayne a witness who was inside his home was suddenly called outside when his children spotted a similar strange object in the sky. The witness took off and ran out to see what they were looking at and noted that his boys and another witness standing in the street were all focusing on a strange and incredibly erratic looking bright light in the distance hovering and moving against the night sky. As he continued to watch, he could make out more lights and estimated there to be approximately fifteen in the distance altogether. As he continued to watch, the lights moved independently of one another at incredible speeds as though a massive light show were being put on by some unknown force. Calling the local police station, the dispatcher there confirmed that there had been multiple reports of strange objects in the sky that night from several witnesses. Later, he called a relative who worked in air traffic control. His brother confirmed that the lights in the sky were not any known test vehicle and no such tests had been scheduled that night. The lights eventually faded and disappeared, but they would return the following night mere miles away.
The final sighting, occurring just last night happened over Plymouth, Indiana as a witness was called outside from the office to look at something in the sky his coworker had seen. The object was very similar to the ones seen in both Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. It was a bright blue object that seemed to be dancing in the sky all over the place. As they watched, they noted how it would stop dead in its tracks only to seemingly shapeshift from a small dot on the horizon into a cigar or vertical disc shape. As they continued to watch, they were called back inside and were left with nothing more than an overwhelming sense of mystery.
The events of the past few nights, and the similarities of the objects seen certainly leave many questions to be answered. Was this series of sightings somehow an elaborate hoax perpetrated over several nights in three different cities spanning almost the entire state? Or was it something else?
